AlwaysHiroki buried himself deeper into the comfort of his warm jacket, shying away from the cool breeze that stung viciously at his nose and cheeks. Beside him, was Kusama Nowaki, his towering other half.
Before Hiroki had first lay eyes on the man, he had been sure that people of such ridiculous height had to be myth or legend. It wasn't natural how the man towered over everyone else like a walking skyscraper.
Had it been anyone else walking beside Kamijo, he would have been far from comfortable. It wasn't the most magnificent feeling in the world to have someone looking down at you, quite literally.
The truth was, Nowaki was a teddy bear, kind, caring, and a permanent warm smile tattooed across his features. His personality shone like the sun, it reached everyone. Perhaps, that was why he was so easily approachable, easy to befriend, and easy to confide in.
For someone who had been branded an orphan, he'd grown into a fine man, smart, passionate, and dripping with enthusiasm. Enthusiasm t
Changing SeasonsThis was written for a deviant competition, the theme was summer
Edward despised all of natures seasons, no matter how beautiful they could be.
Alphonse always insisted that his brother was far too hard to please, adamant that the blonds' negative attitude only existed in his head, alongside the overwhelming mass of inherited Elric stubbornness.
Naturally, Ed always disagreed, and thus almost constantly argued on a regular basis. Of course he knew he was hot headed. At times, it left him feeling embarrassed and exhausted, only fuelling him to remove the many annoyances surrounding him in his life.
The first thing on the ever growing list was Roy Mustang. Since Ed was a child, he'd developed an extremely bad habit of avoiding the man whenever possible, which just happened to be almost every day, damaging his already dormant social life in the process.
At the age of eighteen, Edward had finally reached the limit of excuses to stay at home alone, and found himself sulking on a long tra

It was a normal day in Central.
As normal as life could be for the FullMetal Alchemist. It was early morning, the violet clouds were fading far from view of the human eye and the grass was wet with dew, shimmering under the light of the rising sun.
After struggling to remain deep in sleep, Edward had finally given up trying to nod off again and spent the remainder of the night watching the sky, enjoying the rare sound of silence in the usually bustling city. Despite the sting of tiredness, the blond was in bliss, or as close as he could get to it.
Ed was already dressed, gazing through the glass as his cheek rested on the icy pane, a puff of warm breath clouding his view of the outside world. Honestly, it didn't look like much of a world to him from where he was sitting. Never before had he seen a city so urban.
Poetic PsychosisIn thirty seconds, the next shell would fall. Every night was the same, but every night Lorenzo experienced it as if it were the first time. His throat felt swollen; breathing was hard. He glanced around at the others; young men like him who had been shipped out in the name of honour and freedom. There was no honour in this, no freedom. Only death behind your eyelids, and a fear so gutting, that it carved out your innards and left you a hollow husk. Lorenzo tried to breathe, tried to assure himself that he was still whole, still made of flesh. They had lied when they told him he was ready.
Matteo ran towards him, arms out, rifle swinging uselessly at his side. He shouted for him to run, but Lorenzo remained motionless, unable to move as his friend’s warning was lost in the constant blare of gunfire. None of them were ready.
“The cycle is repeating. It is not safe.” The voice was soft and weak, yet it carried over the gunfire and battle cries without impediment.
